At Imagine Recovery, our team is composed of dedicated professionals who bring a wealth of experience and passion to their work. One such clinician is Sophia Stevenson, LMSW, whose unique journey and commitment to helping others make her an invaluable member of our team.
Educational and Professional Background
Sophia Stevenson is a Licensed Master of Social Work, having graduated from Tulane University’s School of Social Work in 2021. Before joining Imagine Recovery, Sophia honed her skills at Covenant House New Orleans, where she worked as an intern and case manager. Her experience there provided her with deep insights into the challenges faced by individuals in need of support and care.
A Diverse Life Experience
Born in Louisiana, Sophia grew up as a military brat, moving frequently to different parts of the country. This diverse upbringing gave her a broad perspective on life and a deep understanding of different cultures and communities. Eventually, she returned to New Orleans to attend Loyola University and has called the city home ever since.
Before pursuing a career in social work, Sophia explored her artistic side, working as a pastry chef assistant and later creating a career in film and television. However, it was her own recovery journey that sparked a passion for therapy and a desire to share her life experiences to help others on their paths to recovery.
A Passion for Collaboration
Sophia deeply values the collaborative environment at Imagine Recovery. As she puts it, “My favorite part about working here is getting to talk to and learn from our clinical team.” This sense of teamwork and shared knowledge enhances her practice and contributes to the supportive atmosphere that Imagine Recovery is known for.
Sophia’s unique blend of life experience, professional training, and genuine passion for helping others make her a remarkable clinician at Imagine Recovery. We are proud to have her as part of our team and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make on our clients’ recovery journeys.
